Problem with Paulgarrigan.com
I seem to be having some technical problems with the website. There appears to be some issue with updating posts. The changes I make are appearing on the front page but not on the individual pages. Visitor’s comments are appearing on the individual pages but on the front page – instead it says no comments. So far I’ve tried:
– Using a different browser
– Deactivating my plug-ins
– Updating everything that need updating
– Clearing my browser cache
– Using a different computer
– Asking for advice from the WordPress forums
I haven’t been able to rectify the problem yet. Hopefully it is just some glitch related to the last post. If you notice any problems with the site please let me know.
http://queerslo.com/portfolio-category/venues/ Weird -this post seems to be updating without any problems. It is just the last post. Maybe it has something to do with the embedded YouTube video. I’ve tried removing the video but the system won’t let me – it still appears on the individual page.
Paul – Each new plugin and existing plugin update are like ticking bombs, you just hope nothing big happens. I visited your problem page, The Truth About Addiction Recovery, and your video is too wide for the post. Whether that has anything to do with it heaven knows. Maybe it’s your video plugin that’s causing it. I use a wordpress plugin called Smart Youtube Pro on my site and that works (fingers crossed) for me. Have you tried reducing the YouTube pixel size in your editor?
Thanks Martyn, changing the pixel size of the YouTube video was one of the first things I tried. I can change the post on the front page, but none of the change I make appear on the actual post. I might try that Smart YouTube pro plugin. I hope the fact that is called ‘pro’ doesn’t means that it is going to cost hundreds of £££ to buy 🙂
The plugin is free and works very well. Email me if you have any problems understanding its mechanics.
